I’m so glad
you’re here.
I am Emily (she/her), a body-based therapist and yoga teacher living and working on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples, colonially known as Mt. Pleasant, Vancouver BC.
I specializes in supporting clients with anxiety, sense of self, trauma, and life transitions.
Through empathy, I honour my client’s lived experience while collaboratively exploring opportunities to gain awareness and initiate growth. The work will include building meaningful connections, building self-awareness, and cultivating a gentle self-compassionate inner world
my story
The journey back to the heart is slow, powerful, and ever-evolving. Through my healing, I was inspired to immerse myself in the mental health space. Through mindfulness-based practices, self-compassion, and having a safe place to land, I began tuning inward and slowly coming home to myself. I recognized that no feeling I had was bad or wrong, but all there for me to feel. As my self-awareness expanded, I could shed patterns that once provided me safety and comfort but no longer served me. My path forward is forged with unknowns, bringing me closer to my true nature.
As Sarah Blondin gently reminds me — you were meant to feel all of this.
Education & Experience
With a deep desire to support others, I embarked on a fun journey to counselling. I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Contemporary Dance from Simon Fraser University, followed by a Certificate of Marketing Communications from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. I then became a 200-hour yoga instructor through Kushala Yoga and a Shiatsu Massage through the Vancouver School of Healing Arts. Finally, inspired by my incredible counsellor, I completed my Master of Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#20729) with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors.

I am a cis-genered, bi, able-bodied, white, post-graduate educated, woman, using she/her pronouns.
By identifying and learning about my intersections, I can support others better. I am and will always be a student, learning about the oppressive system that we live in.
Outside of my role —
I enjoy baking for friends, cooking new recipes with my sis, and playing with flowers. I love listening to music and going to live shows with pals and partner. I spend ample time outside — cycling, ocean dips, & taking my pup for long walks.
